Our Commitment to Sustainability
Responsible Sourcing & Supplier Standards
At AAW Group, we believe strong partnerships are built on shared values. We expect all of our suppliers and partners to uphold the same high standards of integrity, safety, and responsibility that guide our own operations.
Our Supplier Standards cover:
- Ethical and transparent business practices
- Respect for human rights and fair working conditions
- Workplace health and safety
- Environmental stewardship and sustainable practices
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
These standards are detailed in our formal Supplier Code of Conduct, which forms part of our commitment to building a responsible and resilient supply chain.
Workplace Health and Safety
At AAW Group, people are the heart of our business. We are committed to fostering a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors, clients, and visitors.
We work collaboratively to maintain, as far as practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risk to health. This commitment means:
- Providing and maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with legislative requirements and industry standards.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant workplace health and safety laws and guidelines.
- Providing training, information, and supervision so all employees can work safely and confidently.
- Systematically reporting and investigating hazards, accidents, and incidents to prevent injury or illness.
- Supporting injury management and rehabilitation to help employees return safely to work.
Our People’s Responsibilities
All employees play a vital role in maintaining safety. This includes:
- Looking after their own health and safety, and the safety of others affected by their actions.
- Following safety procedures and directions.
- Promptly reporting hazards, accidents, and incidents.
Leadership Accountability
Senior managers, Business Unit heads, and Shared Services Executives are responsible for the health and safety of all people in the workplace and for implementing and monitoring our health and safety policies.
Branch and department managers are responsible for the safety of their teams and ensuring adherence to procedures.
We encourage all employees to take ownership of safety, comply with our policies, and speak up when improvements are needed.
Modern Slavery Compliance
We are committed to upholding human rights and ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chains. We recognize our responsibility to identify, assess, and address any risks related to modern slavery and to act with transparency and integrity.
In compliance with the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018, we prepare and publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement outlining the steps we have taken to prevent modern slavery within our operations and supply chains.
For more detailed information, please refer to our full Modern Slavery Statement and our Modern Slavery Policy.
Whistleblower Reporting
We are dedicated to fostering an environment where individuals can raise concerns about unethical or illegal activities without fear of retaliation. Our whistleblowing framework provides a confidential and secure way for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to report any suspected misconduct or breaches of company policies.
All reports are taken seriously and handled with the utmost discretion. We are committed to investigating concerns thoroughly and ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with relevant laws and regulations.
